Our main function is to attend the users of the ski resort that require medical attention.

To carry out this task we are a team of professionals (MDs, nurses and secretaries) specialized in this field, most of us speaking several languages.

The installations consist in two centers (one in Pas of the House and another in Grau Roig), conceived and instrumented to give an optimal attention.

In the administrative subject we have agreements with the most important assistance companies.

Thus, our activity is not  limited to the medical attention.

We also take part in the collection of snow sports related injuries data, under the coordination of the Andorran health authorities. The aim is to perform studies on this accidents, and to increase the safety in this field by any means (prevention campaigns...)

We closely with different departments of the ski resort improve the security and optimize the initial attention to the injured.

• We actively take part in the SITEMSH , International Society of Traumatology and Medicine of winter sports, one of the two big existent societies in the field of the medical assistance and the study in snow sports related injuries.
• Dr Josep Marcel Escoda Sales involved Andorra in  the SITEMSH organizing an extraordinary congress in1991)
• In april 2002 Andorra went back to receive a congress of the SITEMSH, the XXV.
